Warranty Policy

At Saunas Online, we want you to feel confident in your purchase. Every sauna we sell is backed by our 2 Year Warranty, giving you added peace of mind against defects in materials and workmanship.

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Period
Saunas Online products are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of delivery.
If a covered defect appears during this period, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can assess the issue and arrange an appropriate solution.

Depending on the nature of the fault, this may include repair, replacement of an affected component, replacement of the product, a refund where applicable, or another appropriate remedy.

What Our Warranty Covers
Our 2 Year Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal use of the sauna.

Depending on the product, covered components may include:

  • Sauna structure and timber components
  • Sauna heater
  • Control panels and operating systems
  • Integrated electrical components
  • Lighting supplied with the sauna
  • Doors, handles, hinges and supplied hardware
  • Other components originally supplied as part of the sauna

Coverage applies where the fault is caused by a defect in the product rather than damage arising from installation, misuse, external conditions or normal wear.

What Is Not Covered
Our 2 Year Warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  • Incorrect installation or assembly
  • Installation that does not follow the supplied instructions
  • Electrical installation that does not comply with applicable requirements
  • Electrical work performed by an unqualified person where a licensed electrician is required
  • Misuse, abuse, negligence or accidental damage
  • Unauthorised modification, alteration or repair
  • Failure to maintain the sauna in accordance with supplied care instructions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by unsuitable foundations, flooring or installation surfaces
  • Damage caused during relocation, disassembly or reinstallation after the original installation
  • Damage caused by flooding, fire, storms, extreme weather or other external events
  • Use of the sauna for a purpose for which it was not designed
  • Costs associated with the initial electrical installation, connection or commissioning of the sauna.
  • Electrician call-out, inspection, disconnection or reconnection costs, except where such costs are required to be covered under the Australian Consumer Law or have been approved in advance by Saunas Online as part of a warranty remedy.

Nothing in these exclusions limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Timber and Natural Materials
Timber is a natural material, and variations between individual pieces are part of its natural appearance.

Variations in grain, knots, colour and texture are not generally considered defects simply because they differ from photographs or other timber sections.
Timber may also naturally expand, contract or develop minor checking as temperature and humidity change.

However, this does not exclude defects in timber components or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where the condition of the product means it does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee.

Outdoor Saunas
For saunas designed for outdoor installation, customers must follow the installation, weatherproofing, ventilation and maintenance instructions supplied with the sauna.

Outdoor timber products naturally respond to changing environmental conditions.

Regular maintenance may be required to protect the appearance and longevity of the sauna.

Failure to follow reasonable installation or maintenance requirements may affect coverage under this additional 2 Year Warranty where that failure has caused or contributed to the problem.

This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Electrical Installation
Where your sauna or heater requires hardwired electrical installation, the work must be completed in accordance with applicable Australian electrical requirements and by a suitably licensed electrician where required.

The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the initial electrical installation and connection of the sauna, including any electrician fees associated with installation or commissioning.

Electrician call-out, inspection, disconnection and reconnection costs are not included as part of our standard 2 Year Warranty unless approved in advance by Saunas Online or where we are required to cover those costs under the Australian Consumer Law.

We recommend retaining invoices or other evidence of professional electrical installation.

Before arranging an electrician to investigate or repair a suspected warranty fault, please contact Saunas Online so we can assess the issue and advise on the appropriate next steps.

Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your sauna has developed a fault covered by this warranty, please contact us:

Saunas Online
ABN: 14 787 967 014
Email: info@saunasonline.au
Phone: 1800 214 121

Warranty claims may be submitted by email to info@saunasonline.au

When making a claim, please provide where reasonably available:

  • Your name
  • Your order number or other proof of purchase
  • A description of the problem
  • Clear photographs or video showing the issue
  • Photographs of the sauna and installation area where relevant
  • Any other information reasonably required to assess the fault

We may ask you to complete reasonable troubleshooting steps or provide additional photographs or information before determining the appropriate remedy.

Saunas Online reserves the right to reasonably assess the product and claimed fault before providing a remedy.

Please do not arrange repairs, alterations or replacement parts without first contacting us, unless urgent action is reasonably necessary for safety.

What We Will Do
After receiving your warranty claim, we will assess the information provided and may contact you for further details.

Where the issue is confirmed as being covered by this warranty, Saunas Online will provide an appropriate remedy.

Depending on the nature and severity of the fault, this may include:

  • Providing replacement parts
  • Arranging repair
  • Arranging replacement of the affected product
  • Providing a refund where appropriate
  • Another remedy agreed with you

Nothing in this section restricts any remedy you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Claim and Freight Costs
There is no charge to submit a warranty claim.

Where a defect is confirmed as covered by this warranty, Saunas Online will bear the reasonable costs associated with providing the warranty remedy.

Because saunas and some sauna components may be large, heavy or difficult to transport, we may arrange collection, freight, replacement parts or another appropriate method of resolving the issue.

If you incur reasonable costs in connection with a valid warranty claim that Saunas Online is responsible for, please retain your receipts and contact us regarding reimbursement.

Where possible, please contact us before incurring significant transport, repair or other costs so we can arrange an appropriate solution.

If an assessment establishes that the issue was not caused by a defect covered by this warranty, we will discuss any proposed chargeable repair, replacement, inspection or transport costs with you before proceeding.

Nothing in this section limits your rights to reimbursement or compensation under the Australian Consumer Law.

Replacement Parts
Where appropriate, a fault may be resolved by replacing the affected component rather than replacing the entire sauna.
If an identical component is no longer available, a reasonably equivalent replacement may be supplied.
Replacement components may have minor cosmetic differences due to changes in manufacturing, timber characteristics or product specifications.

Australian Consumer Law
Our 2 Year Warranty is an additional warranty provided by Saunas Online. It does not replace, exclude, restrict or modify the consumer guarantees or other rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Consumer guarantees apply automatically and may continue to apply after the 2-year warranty period has expired.

Mandatory Australian Consumer Law Notice
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
